It’s here! The newest lipstick Tangelo from Young Blood Mineral Cosmetics. We have carried this makeup line for years and I must say this season for color is hot and bright. Tangerine orangy colors are amazing. They stand out for brightness and make pale skin look brighter, they make dark skin look beautiful too. As you can see in this picture the lipstick is moist and will not dry your lips out. We know that Tangerine colors can be intimidating. Ok, so what. live a little with some boldness in your life and if only for a season so be it. Think of it as an accessory, you try it on you can take it off. It’s not permanent. You can be a celebrity too with these types of highlights. Sensational natural looking color that looks like you were in the sun all day and for that matter all summer. The hair will maintain the shine with the right products to maintain at home. Ask your stylist which products will keep the freshness of the blondes. You don’t really have to have the bright blonde that usually comes along in the summer. Try the Brazilian colors that have a brunette base with caramel or golden butterscotch running through it. We are doing a combination of the Ombre color with the balayage that give a more unique look.
I just finished a spectacular blonde color last night in the salon. Let me describe it to you. The client had a darker base with strawberry blonde highlights. We took the base of her color to a nice light golden blonde and then I did thicker balayage that is down around the mid lengths and ends, then I did slight individual (this takes a while and must be really detailed to get it right) through the curve of her head and the bangs were smoking beautiful!!
I hope she posted her photo on face book for us because she looked amazing. I think her husband will be really happy to see her. This is a great technique if you don’t like lines at the top of head that always look like you need to redo them. Call the salon if you want to try this technique. It will take about 1-1 1/2 hours if you are darker. This takes time and as I said before lots of detail to carve it into the style of the hair.
