Color Techniques Customized for YOU!
Bayalage is a French term and hair coloring technique that literally paints strands of hair to appear as though it is reflecting light. The area at the curve of your head and toward the ends of your hair are slightly lighter to give a natural look of being in the sun. I like to mix up the width of the different strands being painted—some skinny, some chunky—for an even more natural and less contrived look.
With having an extra hour of daylight now in the evenings, I am more ready for spring to finally be here than ever! And next week I will start sharing some ideas on how to get yourself and your skin “spring clean.” But right now it’s all about hair color as our annual Colour Explosion Party is this Saturday.
One great idea for spring and summer in hair color though is a bit of highlighting around the face. It lightens and brightens your hair, but done in the right shade it also has the effect of brightening your complexion. Whether you are already a blonde, a redhead, or a brunette, you can incorporate a few highlights now for spring and maybe even a few more for a summer look.
Check out some ideas at www.indulgesalon.com or just call us at 717.846.4424 or 717.718.4465 and we will be glad to help you pick colors for your customized spring 2013 look. Remember, the Colour Explosion party is Saturday March 16 and there are very few appointments still available. If you hope to get in, call us now!
