This year we have seen a strong trend for 2015 for amethyst, smokey grey hair or gray hairs take to the top of the chart. We mix this with white hair and you get the most iced platinum blondes you have ever seen. Now in order to make this happen its not just pop some color on and you are done. No way, this artistic piece of work can take hours to make happen.

Be prepared for the day. Bring a book, a phone that you keep on silent or something else to do such as have a pedicure or manicure while you process. No matter how you look at it, you will be hanging out at the salon waiting for your hair to process.

For dark black to brownish red clients, you will take the most time to lift up to an orangy stage that is most unattractive however; waiting out this stage for the pigments to leave your hair can take some time. This is so important to getting the hair lifting up correctly. If the hair isn’t lifted or bleached out correctly, the hair can be spotty or not get what we call a clean look to the color without demarcations, without muddied color. For blondes, this is an easier time period however; yellow can be your worst enemy because it lurks in the shadows like a burglar that is waiting for you to turn your eye from the mirror waiting to jump back into your hair. Fending off yellow or yellow orange may take a few applications of bleach and or toner to kill the yellow.

Obtaining the perfect grey or gray tones takes an artistic eye. We can hilight them or lowlight them into your hair along with choosing the correct white shade to keep the yellow at bay.
