AFTER back facial treatments 3 months of specific acneic treatments. 6 months

Imagine how your teen feels when they look in the mirror and see this? Suffering from acne, cysts, blackheads, boils under the skin? Most teens have been youtube guided into how to take care of their skin. Even of they were by mom and dad, they probably wouldn’t take their advice right?

Next option is to the dermatologist for a solution to rid their teen’s skin of acne. They take the medications the Dr. prescribes but without results. I’m not saying all of the teens but we are seeing at the salon. What do you do when Dr’s advice isn’t getting a result any longer?

How long does it take to clear up acne, cysts or clogged pores?

As long as it takes for your teenager to adopt to new habits in skin care such as cleansing with the correct cleanser. I can’t tell you how many times as a teenager I was using the same cleanser my grandmother was using. We customize the cleanser that will actually give you the clean feeling that you love to have. The next item is what we call a toner lotion. This will keep the skin clean from bacteria day while at school, sports, or at home. Can be used as often as they think about it. When your teenager feels like their face is on fire, we can calm that down daily with the corrective home maintenance along with your teen’s ability to manage the home care properly. We will be coaching them to wash their sheets 2x per week, their pillow cases every other day (mom buy more please to make your life easier), clean bath towel and wash towel daily. We will show your teen how to wash their face, how to cleanse properly and use the products we recommend. We are your back up support. You and I both know our teens never listen to their parents. We got your back mom and dad.

While your teenager is learning to cleanse their skin day and night while using the lotion, we will teach your teen to follow up in the a.m. with a blemish control lotion that fights off bad bacteria yet protecting the skin with a slight barrier. Lastly, we highly recommend using a spf of 15 – 30 to protect skin from UVA and UVB rays daily.

At night we will recommend a thorough cleansing before going to bed, toning lotion and utilizing advamced skin care such as Rhonda Allison skin care. We can add additional growth serum to help those cells turnover quicker which helps the older cells slough off quicker getting to the fresh cells. After armpit waxing 1st time

Not sure about waxing your baby belly mom-to-be? Want to have a brazilian “down” there but not sure? We have the solutions to give you confidence “down there” and protect your baby belly while being sanitary for a safe entry for your baby.

Many mom’s-to-be want to have their entire body waxed prior to 28 weeks because they are uncomfortable moving around to shave or to reach their private bits. Armpits, legs, brazilian, bikini, facial hair can be daunting when pregnant because the hormones are leveled high in testosterone. Where to go? Indulge Salon York Pa of course.

Is waxing my baby belly safe for baby?

We have been waxing for years with the best waxing products available on the market along with the best techniques. Not all baby belly’s are created equal meaning not every mom-to-be has zero hair on their belly. Many women of ethnic backgrounds have more testosterone during pregnancy. The hair grows crazy over the belly down the mother’s line and of course “down there”. We have specialists that wax baby belly’s that are sanitary and comfortable for moms-to-be. Baby is not affected, the wax is not hot but comfortable and soothing. We aren’t pushing hard on the baby belly, we are gently moving and gliding the wax or strip in the direction is has to go.  Sort of fun if you can imagine it that way. We apply with a spatula type of stick then let it cool and peel off. Other types for those pesky hairs that don’t want to be removed because they are textured and coarse will have to be removed with a strip wax. The strip wax is applied and not cooled but a waxing strip is applied then peeled off. This is brisker but the baby might like all that activity. the baby belly may move around as we work the baby belly. Afterwards we massage your baby belly which feels really good and relaxing. It’s not a long massage however; we remove the excess wax if there is any and just relax you and baby.

Can you wax other parts of my body like my nipples that are hairy?

These moms-to-be do not like being bedraggled with un-groomed hairs that need to have managed. We can wax your underarms, your chest, nipples, baby belly, buttocks, legs, arms, back neck and face. AFTER underarm waxing

If you have been shaving for 20 years, yes, one more day is to much. You might not be able to see as well as you once have so save time and money by being waxed by a professional.  Give underarm waxing a try. It’s quick, not painless but after the initial peeling off of the wax, it is so worth it. Haven’t shaved for 3 weeks and still looks great.

BEFORE underarm waxing

I decided to go native for a few months to prepare for my underarm waxing for the first time in my life.  Native meaning not shaving for a few months. Growing up we were taught hygiene habits of shaving every day although I didn’t enjoy shaving every day my hair doesn’t grow quickly. By looking at the photo it certainly looks like a furry animal!

I have to be honest, I was getting  uncomfortable with the length of my underarm hairs. I was cautious to not lift my arms up to far for fear that the longer hairs would dart out beneath the short sleeves of my shirt at work.

I was told by  our waxing professional at our South George Street location,  that the hair only needs to be as long as a piece of rice. Preferably 3 weeks of growth.

I visually understood that but mine was a pinch longer!  She told me that she would trim it down to the right length to make it easier to wax. The longer the hair means more painful! She makes it easy to understand and I felt totally comfortable with her approach. She analyzed my underarm hairs to see which way to start the waxing.  You have to understand the hairs have separate growth patterns that have to be handled differently. Waxing the wrong direction could cause ingrown hairs.

The type of wax used is important. She told me that hard wax is applied, left to cool, then peeled off quickly. Strip wax is wax that is softer that has to have a muslin strip applied on top then the waxed is peeled off. Take into consideration the types of waxes such as soft, hard, olive oil moisturizing, beeswax, lavender and so on. The harder waxes are generally used for coarser hair that is hard to remove.

I learned that the hair grows at different rates too. When the underarm waxing is done the first time after you have just shaved, some of the hairs will emerge after a week that were just under the skin. The 2nd underarm waxing will be more successful taking more hair out thus getting into a routine of waxing.

She sanitized, she applied the wax and gave it a rip! Wow……little more than pulling a bandaid off but truly, it was worth it. I said let’s get to the next one. I was done in less than 10 minutes. Love it and will do it again. Perfect timing for over lunch.  My recommendation is to make sure you wear something loose fitting. The underarms feel “warm” to the touch but she had a cooling agent that cooled own the fires from my first time.

I set up my appointment within 2 – 3 weeks to make sure I had my consistent appointment to prevent ingrown hairs, stay in a routine because to me, shaving was not worth it but waxing the underarms saved me time which is worth it.

Brazilian and Bikini Waxing

Indulge salon  is booking up for brazilian waxing, bikini, full body, and facial waxing at our South George Street location. Even under the arms! I had my done for the first time. I started off with the right underarm. I was a little embarassed since this was my first time. Initially the grow out was native for me. I didn’t dare wear short sleeves until I had them waxed.  The experience was awesome. The result was zero shaving for 3 weeks. I was hooked!

This summer has been the busiest with waxing services since we opened in 1992. We have brought on some new staff to meet your body waxing needs, facials for both men and women and chemical peels.

First time brazilian/bikini waxing? No worries, we got this!

If this is your first time, we will help you get comfortable by escorting you to a private room. Wear loose fitting clothes for your comfort for afterewards. All of your bits will be covered until needed. We have a numbing agent that can help your first time be more comfortable.  We will have you lie back on your back utilizing one leg at a time, then the other then the “down there” area. Brazilian waxing means removing all of the hair in the front to the back between the cheeks. Bikini waxing is just the bikini area leaving a landing strip or V shape. We have even done heart shapes for Valentine’s day!

Removing the waxing strip can be akin to a bandaid being pulled off. After the intial strip, you know what to expect. We always recommend a product called EPIL from Guinot that helps slow down the growth of the hair for home maintenance daily.

Our support staff is happy to answer any of your questions to help make you feel comfortable with the process. It’s clean, no double dipping the applicators into the wax. We dip it one time for each application to prevent bacteria from spreading and we like being sanitary. Brazilian/bikini waxing can last about 2 – 3 weeks depending on the start of your waxing experience. The amount of growth can depend when the hair was waxed originally, thereafter you will see how long you can go between waxing services. We can add our Hydra Clean electrode process to any of our facial treatments to help bring blackheads or congested white heads to the surface but the underneath extractions should be done by a licensed Dermatologist in that field. After extractions, masque we follow up with cooling the skin down with the appropriate skin care regime that will be recommended for at home maintenance.

Owners, managers, you got busy doing the day to day things and the next minute the day has slipped by until your eyes pop opden like a shot thinking how could I have forgotten these amazing people that work with me and for me. Yep, I did it too. Now we have to do clean up because it really did slip our minds. They are thinking, “I work my a.. off  and you didn’t recognize me for the amazing person I am and what I do for you to make your day easier?” Really. I did. Shame on me as a business owner.

It doesn’t matter that you have a lot going in your personal life or business life, you are the chief instigator, the CEO of your life, the CFO, the Marketing specialist,  the President of your company and believe me you may have created your world but you “ain’t” nothing without your team. I know. I appreciate the girls that I work with and don’t tell them enough. I’m one of those perfectionists that I can always find ways to improve something.
