Part time at Indulge Salon is 20 hours a week

Full and part time hours are available for experienced hair stylists, lash extentionist, waxer, hair extensionists. Let’s say you have worked in the hair industry but you let your license lapse, perhaps you might be interested as a front desk scheduler position providing high levels of customer service without having to renew your license.

We provide detailed haircoloring, highlighting and haircutting. We prefer years of experience to make it an easier integration into our environment.

Kimberly is hiring hair stylists to assist her with hair extension clients taking down hair extensions, prepping the clients for their next service plus helping prepare for the extensions. She is willing to teach and train experienced hair stylists to work with hair extensions to take on the maintenance of current clients that go between all of our stylists that work at the salon.

On the job training is essential to help you feel secure in the job

Our manager will show you how to make appointments as a scheduler. Learn all about the services we provide and how to explain them.

As a front desk scheduler, we expect you to be professional on the phone and in person with good manners, friendly personality and have the ability to be a good listener in order to set the service up appropriately. This is a fast-paced environment.  Multi-phone lines, prepping and assisting with organizing the flow of the day.

Being hired at our salon, bring a sense of humor. If you are concerned about getting your steps in for the day, this is the place.

Sr Stylist Conrad Heller joins Indulge Salon, York, Pa

Sr Stylist re-joins Indulge Salon, York Pa

He started at Indulge Salon in 2006 as a fresh stylist just learning to highlight and cut hair. Since then, he has bloomed into a well known, well traveled and advanced educated hair stylist. He has been featured in Fashion magazines in Lake Oconee, Georgia for his bridal work, hair color and long hair styling trends.

Since working for Indulge Salon in the early part of his career, the road less traveled led him to work for J Beverly Hills product line, providing in salon education to other salon owners.

In 2008, we opened our 3rd location at Reynolds Plantation, Lake Oconee, Greensboro, Ga and Conrad helped develop the team in that location. His specialties are Lace front wig application, coloring and cutting of wigs. Hair color correction involving in box color removal,, over depositing of color, over processed hair, too dark and too light. He loves the challenge of fixing someone’s hair.

Many of his talents lay with long hair styling for brides and bridal parties. He loves  creating looks that have walked out of a magazine. By adding tape-in hair extensions to provide length and volume that give more support to some of the luxurious bridal updo’s.

When it comes to blonding, Conrad loves looking at his client’s face shape to enhance her best features. Not all blonding hair color is created equal. A full analyzation of the hair texture, the density of the hair and visualizing the outcome first will give ideas on the journey to the end result.

Foil Highlighting is done to create a heavier blonding foiled effect. The results are beautiful with this technique creating a blended but overall “lighter” look.

Balayage highlighting gives a natural grow out look that can last for months. It’s a french technique that means painted. All of the colors like this are customized to the persons natural look giving a sun kissed look.

Ombre’ highlighting is a heavier highlight done around the bottom perimeter of the hair. Balayage or foil highlighting can be done in conjunction with the types of highlghting giving a gorgeous affect.

The newest highlighting technique called Illuminage gives a blended look that illuminates the nuances of the base color with natural highlights.

He’s studied with the best – haircolor with Wella Professionals and celebrity stylist Nick Arrojo in New York City, J Beverly Hills (in Beverly Hills CA), plus advanced color training with master stylist Kimberly Acworth at Indulge! He’s also studied French and Japanese haircutting techniques with Jamison Shaw in Atlanta GA. My team at Indulge Salon, York, Pa did on March 31st. We gathered our overnight things, packed them into the car, gave family hugs and kisses and off we went. Some of our team couldn’t travel due to babysitters but they were with us in spirit. On April 1, 2019, we had been sitting in the conference room waiting anxiously to see my new crush celebrity stylist, Chris Appleton.

My sisters love Kim Kardashian and her family. My daughter loves to watch the Kardashian’s and when I tell you that this conference room held many Kim Kardashian wannabe’s. I was one of them. They looked like her, their makeup looked like her and these women stopped at nothing with clothing to look like her. It was a miracle to see. Our team had a huge opportunity to meet celebrity stylist Chris Appleton originally from London, England, He started out doing his mother’s hair since he was eight years old. One of his favorite memories of his childhood was after he was finished styling his mother’s hair she would sit up higher and love herself in that moment. This is what he remembered.

He went on to look for mentors and to accelerate his craft. Year after year he would work for free, he would assist others until one day a friend of his said J Lo needs a stylist. From that point on it was history. As a celebrity stylist you get crazy questions coming from event crowds like the one we were in Long Island, New York.

One of the 500 attendees either a salon owner or stylist had asked a question that was super personal to the celebrity stylist. He responded shocked but kept it together because he admitted he has never been asked the question before. He collected himself  by answering questions that pertained to “how he got where he is”. He did nothing but make people feel comfortable and answered eloquently that he worked hard and that the assistant that he has to hire to help him prepare for a shoot, hair extensions he has to pay for clients is on him, then he has to be able to communicate what the celebrity  wants to make the session 100% success.

In the above photo, celebrity stylist, Chris created the wet look on dryer hair. Even as stylists we assume that we will do this type of look on wet hair but alas it’s dry hair. He shared that doing a look like this on wet hair makes it to heavy. You can’t be afraid to try new looks. The whole creation of the makeup, the feeling that you are striving for then helps create the look of hair whether red carpet ready or just going for dinner or doing a speaking event. You have to spend time thinking about what you want before you actually do it.

Cover photos need preparation from celebrity stylists. Between the model, the assistant, the location, the environment that the work is done in, lots of time preparing is essential for a good shoot. I was pretty enamored with his approach to ponytails. He talked about how the comfort of the client with a high ponytail was pretty essential when the hair is flinging around on stage. I thought good point. He showed us what he uses and how he does it on 4 models for the Glass look, the sportster, the ponytail and lastly the muscled up look. No matter where you go, others have opinions about your work, about you, about the environment and will minimize what it took to get you where you are today. I can tell you that the amount of money you make is in direct proportion to the value that you give others. This celebrity stylist gives of himself every time a client sits in his chair. I loved his passion for what he does. He cares and it’s not just a job but a career. He has won awards for his amazing hair extension work. He has worked with J Low with 60′ hair extensions. It was over a year now that I have experienced my hair shedding into the brush, the floor of the bathroom, the shower and onto my clothes. I would feel a wisp of hair on my arm while I was working at the computer only to discover it was my HAIR shedding. I knew there had to be a solution or I was trending toward a balding head!

As you can see to the left, my hair has grown in over the past 8 months. I just recently had 4 inches cut off my hair. I feel like a chia pet. It has gotten heavier over the months on the ends which I wasn’t familiar with. While in the shower doing my hair growing shampoo treatment, I would pull my hair up to rinse then let it fall, it would slap me on the back. I have a few Veterans’ to thank today.

My son-in-law Sean Crawford deserves recognition for his dedication to keeping our families safe. I remember the first time I spoke to him about the service. My daughter and her husband Sean were sitting across the table talking about his determination to teach the young ones coming into the service to stay active by exercising to stay fit in order to carry a pack of 65 lbs. He was describing how it was when he was in basic training and how it is now. I love that he wanted to make a difference just like he does today. He was training to be an officer. Now he does his weekend warrior training. He loves my daughter, Alex and their children. Nothing makes me smile more than to see how the children light up when daddy and mommy walk into the room. Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do to keep our country safe.

Mr. Harry A Keating is a Navy veteran whom is the nicest, most generous man that you would ever want to meet. He always does what he says, he has taken care of his wife Jean Keating all of her adult life. I have so much respect for him.

My ex-husband Brian Acworth. He has been  committed to the military when he was serving. He is actually retired from the Army. Thank you for all you have done to rescue those in need during your tours.  Now you can run after the grandchildren.

Our very own stylist, Former  Aviation Ordinance USM with the Navy, Brittani Young. She has always recognized fellow military veterans with pride. I see her face shine when she talks to others such as today at work. No matter what capacity our veterans’ provide their service, their mental strength, physical strength and have always got your back no matter the role they play. Thank you for your service!

To those veteran’s that I’ve not personally mentioned, from all of us THANK YOU! I come from a family of military branches. Army, Marines and Navy. We even had a chaplain Uncle George whom was my grandmother Polly Oberlander’s brother  George Hummer. He was the calmest gentlemen that you would ever want to meet. He would sit and listen to whatever you had to say. He always had a story he could tell us to relate to us with a message from Jesus. When my grandmother and I would visit them in VA, we would ride bicycles (the type that you rent at the beach) around their neighborhood then make a pit stop for lunch with Aunt Helen directing us onto another adventure. My cousin Steven is  US Marine Lieutenant General in the Marines along with his wife veteran  US Marine Captain Sheri Hummer whom is a high ranking officer. Read more here. 

All of them and others that I have not mentioned personally are still continuing to serve the community in other capacities. thank you again for all that you do to make our world a better and safer place.

Owner of Indulge Salons, York Pa is hosting an advanced hair cutting and coloring workshop event on Sunday November 5th for stylists 10:00 – 4:00 p.m. We will be demonstrating new trends, new color techniques from one of the best educators in the U.S. We are proud to introduce you to Alexandra Matiz from MUZE salon, New York City, New York. She will be discussing and showing new techniques that she has created using Wella hair color.

To be a model: you will need to LIKE US, SUBMIT your photo, tag us INDULGESALONHAIRMODEL on facebook at indulgecolorsalon . Show and tell us why you should be the hair model for us. All models agree to a new hair cut and color by submitting your current photos. Blondes, Reds, Brunettes options will be available for your hair makeover. Please know that we will not limit our time, you have to make sure you are available from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. We will be contacting you to set up a time and for pre-prep. Requirements to be a model: Can be long hair or short hair. Be prepared to have your hair pre-lightened, colored with any of our colors that we choose to use. No limitations.
